I’m honored to receive endorsements from both SEIU 6 and SEIU 775. Caregivers, janitors, security officers, airport staff, and allied industry workers are the backbone of our communities. I’m committed to continuing the fight alongside them to make Seattle more affordable and equitable for all.
My statement on Immigration Enforcement in Seattle.
Today, I stood alongside @GovFerguson and local leaders to speak out against the Trump Administration’s new travel ban. The ban affects communities who have called Seattle home for decades as well as our new neighbors.
In Seattle, we stand with our immigrant communities and defend the rights of those who advocate on their behalf.
Proud to stand with community leaders, organized labor, and SEIU 925, 775, 6 and 1199NW in opposition to the detainment of David Huerta, a respected labor leader and U.S. citizen.
Yesterday, I joined the SEIU rally at City Hall to stand with community leaders, organized labor, and SEIU 925, 775, 6 and 1199NW in opposition to the detainment of David Huerta, a respected labor leader and U.S. citizen.
I will continue to stand with our immigrant communities and defend ...the rights of those who advocate on their behalf.
Thank you to Transportation Choices Coalition for hosting last night’s forum on housing and transportation. As mayor, I’m committed to addressing affordable housing and accelerating transit, bike, and pedestrian investments with safety at the core.
Thank you to Transportation Choices Coalition for organizing last night’s important forum on two critical issues: housing and transportation.
As your mayor, I remain committed to addressing affordable housing by cutting red tape to increase supply, helping residents find stable housing, ...and expanding options for families, workers, and young people.
I will continue to lead with urgency to accelerate transit construction and prioritize investments in sidewalks, bike lanes, and bus lanes — always putting safety at the center of our work.
I was honored to join the Seattle LGBTQ Commission this past weekend for Seattle’s 13th annual Pride flag raising.
Seattle is a welcoming, inclusive city for our LGBTQ+ communities. We will keep standing together, strong and united, to protect the values that proudly make us One Seattle.
